As we got some feedback on measuring HOTSPOTs in Japan. With our App currently its difficult to measure below 1-10µSv/h directly. We currently dont recomment trying this with the low sensitive devices. For good ones (>4 stars) you still need a very long measurement time. Feedback and logfiles welcome we can test then the next update with real values PLEASE email. The values for n,border and CPM-Noise are set automatically after the first calibration - the table is a reference for values we had. Achtung: Apple iOS User brauchen keine Daten zur Eingabe - attention iOS user don’t need to enter values, update for iPhone 6 and some other models comming soon (depends on the App Store valdiation process - expect Feb 2016) |

* Attention usually we automatically cancel static defect pixel (most sensors have), but in some cases if there dynamic defect pixels with increased noise, which we currently we cannot detect automatically, you have to increase the CPM 0 (CPM-noise) value and add it to all CPM values. If such a pixel is close to the border you can increase the border value (this decreases sensitivity) ! + frontcamera not recommended due to instable noise and temperature sensitivity when radiation is low. ** with 2.3.3 the frontcamera can be used, currently the update is not available for us here in Germany so we will provide the backcam measurements only until we get an update. ++ Samsung Mini / ACE phone with Android 2.2.x , when you press the power off button quickly to switch off the screen, and after switch on again without leaving the application, a black screen comes up - you need to restart the phone - bug seems to be fixed after updating to the latest Android version 2.3.x (use Samsung Kies !) +++ very non sensitive sensors in the phone, not recommended ! Let us know if your noise value and CPM-noise (CPM-0) is very different from our table, we might check if there are different sensors used at the manufacturers (always possible that 2nd sources are used with different data).
Enter the values in the table according to your phone like the example for a Nexus One. See instruction video on our info page. Steps to do: 1. Do a 60 minutes measurement, if the mean CPM is much larger than in our table (CPM-noise (we also called it CPM0 sometimes) = cpm noise in the adjust menu) reduce n (noise) in the settings menu. If the mean is zero reduce n (minimum n=1). Do the measurement again in this case. The new version does a automatic measurement but not that long. 2. Use this mean value for CPM-noise in the adjust menu. Its a combination of camera noise and hits. If you have lots of pixels in the border of the camera try to use border = -2 (ellipse) which is less sensitive at the borders and start with 1. again 1. .
The Tables below are just for general info. You dont need them for calibration. Nur zur Information:
